About Borderline/Bipolar

Hello and welcome to Borderline/Bipolar. I think it is high time I introduced myself properly. My name is Holly, and I am a young woman aged 29 years old with a very colourful mental health history. I’ve been diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and severe depression and anxiety, but I’ve always believed that I have bipolar! More recently I have been diagnosed as such.

The interesting part is that, although it was a very arrogant psychiatrist that diagnosed me with Borderline, my GP has no idea or record of that diagnosis, only the one of severe depression and anxiety, but he is now starting to see the bipolar pattern to my mood cycles.

It is all VERY confusing and I’m not quite sure I am managing to keep up with it all myself, but I’ll do my best to try.

Anyway, this will serve as my personal journal, following my journey from this point onward.

There are times when I find myself feeling a little too down, or a little too crazy to write, and other times I am just literally too busy during my rather hectic life, but I look forward to keeping this “journal” and seeing a record of where my journey is taking me.

If anyone wishes to contact me or ask me anything, I can be contacted at borderlinebipolarblog@gmail.com 🙂

  1. Thanks for following my blog! I work in mental health (though I HOPE I would never be the arrogant-psychiatrist type) as a case manager in a supportive-living program, so everything I see on your blog strikes a chord with me. I really hope everything is going well with you…and I’ll be adding your blog to the list of blogs I follow! Thanks again!

    • Thank you very much also. I want to work in mental health and help people where the system has failed them as it has meon many occasions. I’m going through a really tough spell at the minute but trying desperately to pick myself back up of the floor.
